Team Away Days

‘In perfect harmony’

Nurturing creative thinking and wellbeing for business, industry and sports.

This team building away day gives you the shared experience of writing a song. You will be guided through the process of gathering ideas, shaping them and forming them into a song. The day culminates with the uplifting experience of singing and recording your own song.

We hold the strong belief that everyone is creative. With creativity comes a playfulness that shakes off some of the limitations we put on ourselves as adults. In creative mode we can be relieved of pressures that build up and make us less effective in our work.

Guided group song writing provides an opportunity for open reflection, or for pondering specific questions; for deep listening and for feeling heard. The creative process allows for the unexpected to arrive and surprise!

Whether you are someone who identifies as creative or not, whether you have been told you can’t sing or you’re an active member of a choir, whether you like to gather your thoughts alone or you think aloud, you will have a part to play in creating a song that holds something of everyone.

Led by Emily Druce, singer song writer and music therapist with over 20 years’ experience of song-writing with others, this day aims to unite teams in a creative task that has a tangible, shared outcome.

Through playful activities that stimulate the imagination, your team will be brought together and revitalised as a group, whilst also being able to recognise and value the diversity of the individuals that make up any team.

No musical experience is necessary

No experience or confidence around music or songwriting is necessary, and all activities are approached with gentleness, offering creative ways to feel deeply safe in the moment.

The most common feedback from these sessions is:

“I can’t believe we just did that!”

We can also offer guided creative days, designed in consultation with your organisation.

These can combine music, movement, visual art, storytelling and nature to refresh ways of being and connect with ourselves and the world around us.
