Singing Hearts Collective is a community interest company of creative arts therapists and social thinkers based in West Yorkshire.

We bring creative arts to individuals, communities and companies, forging creative pathways to wellbeing and making hearts sing!

Who are we?

We believe that creativity is fundamental to being human, bringing purpose, meaning, and connection to our lives. Our mission is to enrich lives, strengthen relationships and support communities to thrive, by bringing creativity into the everyday.

We deeply value the importance of downtime and reflection as essential for creativity, well-being, and personal growth. In today’s fast-paced world, finding space to simply be can be a challenge—but it is in these moments that we gain clarity, feel truly alive, and reconnect with who we are at heart.

Our Approach

Meet the Directors

Emily Druce: Founder and director

‘I'm a musician and HCPC registered music therapist based in West Yorkshire. Songwriting, self-expression and collaboration are central to my own creative practice, and the work I do to support and inspire others.

Music has been part of my life since childhood, growing up with musician parents and starting to learn the violin at four. I found my own creative outlet as a teenager, when I discovered the guitar and songwriting.

Alongside studying English literature, running a market garden, and raising a family, I was developing a skill for using music to engage others. Working in various educational and community settings, I found music to be a powerful tool for connecting, often with people finding themselves on the edges. In 2011, I completed a masters in music therapy with Nordoff and Robbins. Since then, I have developed specialisms, working in women’s mental health and with adolescents.

I currently enjoy working as a music therapist, writing and performing music, tending my allotments, and leading Singing Hearts Collective.’

Anna Townend: Director

“I’m a registered dance/movement psychotherapist (RDMP) and clinical supervisor in creative-embodied approaches; also a dancer, writer and mum. My practice invites a soulful being in the body, opening up to the wisdom of creativity, arts practice and dance/movement. I draw from dance, music, somatics, voicework, writing, image and metaphor, ritual and spiritual practice in my work.

I specialise in women’s psychotherapy, having worked for nearly ten years in a women’s community health charity, offering group and 1:1 work. I collaborate regularly with a music therapist on a range of nature-based projects and community ritual workshops. I’ve also worked creatively with refugees and asylum seekers and taught on dance/movement psychotherapy master’s programme at the University of Derby.

I run a small private practice offering therapy for adults and clinical supervision for creative arts therapists. I am on the board of directors for  ‘Singing Hearts Collective CIC’”

Sobiya Din: Director
